People have come to the Black Forest to breathe since the 1800s, and the reasons haven't changed: cool, resin-scented air, deep quiet, and paths that start at the front door.

We take over a small forest guesthouse above Triberg: twelve rooms, a library with a stove, a lakeside sauna and a kitchen that bakes its own bread every morning.
