Overview
Desert Silence is our gentlest week and, for many guests, the one that changes the most. For the first three mornings we don't speak until breakfast. Without the effort of conversation, you start to notice things: the sound of the camels being fed, the colour the Atlas turns at 07:10, how tired you actually were.
Days are simple. Practice at sunrise and sunset with Inès, a two-hour walk across the hammada with our guide Youssef, long lunches in the shade, and evenings around the fire with Maren. On the fourth day we cook a tagine with the Aït Ali family and spend the night in the open under the stars, if you'd like to.

Thirty minutes on the dune platform as the light comes up over the Atlas.

Two hours at an easy pace with Youssef, who knows every track and well.

Long lunch in the shade
Salads, slow-cooked vegetables, bread from the clay oven. Then a proper siesta.

Founder · Breathwork & somatic coach
Maren spent ten years producing documentaries in remote places before she noticed that the crews always came home calmer than they left. She started Stillwild in 2016 with one desert retreat and eight guests, four of whom still come back every year.
She leads our silent and breath-based retreats, and still cooks the first breakfast of every Desert Silence herself.
Inès Moreau
Yoga & meditation teacher · E-RYT 500
Inès taught in Paris studios for eight years before deciding she preferred teaching where the floor was a beach, a desert or a pine terrace. Her classes are slow, precise and full of practical anatomy.
She designs the movement on all our wellness retreats, and adapts every session to the day's walking.
